Requests, end to end.

A practice files a request. It lands on the right team, with every answer they gave and every file they attached, already prioritized and dated. That whole path is live this week.

The headline

Every request now has an owner the moment it's submitted

Requests used to arrive with no team attached — all 89 routing rules pointed at nothing, and the Team dropdown came back empty. Requests now route themselves by what was asked for.

Step 1
A practice picks a request type and fills the form.
Step 2
The request type decides the team — no one has to triage it.
Step 3
A task appears on that team's board with the full submission.
Step 4
Priority and due date are already set from what was requested.

Web, design, creative, social, capture → Studio

37 request types. Anything that produces an asset lands with the team that makes assets.

Marketing, CRM, growth, practice info → Gen & Spec

26 request types. Campaign, listing, and practice-data work routes straight to Gen & Spec.

HQ keeps the override. Practices never see a team picker — their request just goes where it belongs. Corporate submitters get an optional Route to team selector, and an explicit choice always beats the automatic one. Leave it blank and auto-routing takes over.

Requests

The whole request arrives with the task

Previously the task showed a flattened description and the rest of the submission sat in a field no one could see. Now the task is the request.

1

Every field the requester filled in, right on the task

The task drawer has a Request details section that renders the full submission — every question, every answer, in the order it was asked. No more opening the form to figure out what was actually requested.

2

Priority and due date do something now

When a requester marks something High and asks for it by the 30th, that drives the task's priority tier and sets a real due date. Both fields were cosmetic before.

3

Attachments ride along

Every request form has an Attachments section. Logos, photos, reference images, existing collateral — they upload with the request and show up on the task's Files. No follow-up email to go collect them.

4

Public links can attach files too

Public request forms are filled in by people with no login, so uploads used to be impossible there. They now work through a dedicated anonymous upload path — images and PDFs accepted, rate-limited, with executables rejected.

Navigation

One front door instead of several

Intake had grown two marketing forms, a set of forms for work the growth team doesn't own, and two different screens both called "Rules."

One marketing request

The duplicate legacy form is retired. The smart-router SGA Marketing Request is now the single marketing entry point.

Requests is where you file; Manage forms is where you configure

The admin form catalog is relabeled so it reads as the configuration layer behind Requests, not a second place to submit work.

Rules is now Automations, and Routing has a home

The trigger/condition/action engine is Automations. The request-type-to-team routing admin is Routing — previously reachable only if you knew the URL.

The Request Center reflects reality

Category cards are built from the forms that are actually published, so the permanently empty categories are gone and no form gets orphaned. Out-of-scope IT, compliance, HR and vendor forms are retired.

Practice data

One identity spine for every practice

The Practice Data Hub now runs on the SGA Master Crosswalk — the authoritative record that reconciles every practice across Workday, Paylocity, Dentrix, New Sage and Abv. The roster had been running on a stale April snapshot missing roughly 130 rows.

Filter the network the way the org is actually structured

Business unit, division, region, legacy company, practice status and type are now real fields — and Business Unit and Legacy Company are filters in the brand directory.

Report by business unit or region

Reporting can group by Business Unit, Division, Region and Legacy Company, and the practice rankings can chip by business unit and company.

Ad accounts map themselves

Roughly 50 unlinked Google Ads accounts can now be matched to practices automatically. Unambiguous matches bind on their own; near-matches are offered as ranked suggestions for a human to confirm — never bound silently.

Counts you can trust. Corporate, holdco, lab, accounting and test records are now tagged and excluded from practice rosters and counts by default, so "how many practices" finally returns the same number everywhere.

Things that were getting in the way

Most of these came straight from people using the tool and telling us what was broken. Thank you — that's the fastest path we have.

What to try, and what's next

Try it

  • File a real request from a practice and watch it land on Studio or Gen & Spec without anyone touching it.
  • Attach a logo or reference photo to a request and confirm it shows on the task's Files.
  • Open a sourced task and read the Request details panel instead of chasing the requester.
  • Filter the brand directory by business unit or legacy company.

Next up

  • A review queue for suggested ad-account matches, so the near-matches get confirmed in one pass.
  • Continued intake pruning as the remaining request types find their owning teams.
  • More of the crosswalk dimensions surfaced where teams actually filter and report.
